Exploring quantum processes in atoms, molecules, and plasmas through theory and computation

I am currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Vadodara – International Campus Diu (IIITV-ICD). My research focuses on quantum dynamics and quantum many-body theory, with particular emphasis on collision processes involving electrons, positrons, and photons interacting with atoms, molecules, and their ions.

My work involves theoretical and computational studies of atomic, molecular, and ionic systems, with applications in astrophysical plasmas, non-LTE environments, and fundamental plasma processes. I am especially interested in atomic processes relevant to kilonovae and other transient astrophysical phenomena.

I hold a Ph.D. in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad (2019), where my research focused on electron and positron scattering dynamics in atoms and molecules. I completed my M.Sc. in Applied Physics from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad (2015) and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics from the University of Calcutta (2013).

High-accuracy structure and collision data for non-LTE plasmas, kilonovae, and transient phenomena.

Electron, Positron & Photon Scattering

Theoretical cross sections and collision dynamics for atoms, molecules, and ionic targets.

Quantum Many-Body Theory

Relativistic and computational descriptions of correlated atomic and molecular systems.
